I managed to get a couple of good pictures of Tanner and Colter this weekend. Tanner actually hung out with Colter and I all weekend. That was only because he got in some trouble and dad took his TV and games away. Whatever the reason, I enjoyed it. We got to have some of our good conversations. It always makes me feel good that he knows he can come to me and talk about what is on his mind. There are many things I hope I can accomplish parenting my kids, but one of the really important things, to me, is that my kids always know they can come too me. No matter what, I hope they will know that it doesn't matter what they have done or how they feel, I will always be there for them and try to understand. I also hope I raise respectable, honest, caring human beings, but I would hope that is the goal of all parents!
Sadie was guarding the boys as they played.
Tanner seems to be more comfortable with everything now. I think before, he was a little unsure were he would fit in to our new family. I know all older siblings have feelings like this, but I think there was a little more to it with him. Having two families can not be easy. I am glad he is more relaxed, and I hope he realizes that he is a very important part of our family. No one can ever replace him.
