My big boys had a fun weekend. Saturday night, Tanner had his pal Wesley spend the night. He informed me that they planned on staying up all night. I told him I didn't care what they did, as long as they didn't wake up his brother and I could get some sleep. Wesley showed up around 1pm and I hardly even knew they were there. It wasn't until sometime after 11pm that they decided to get rambunctious. It sounded like they were tearing down the walls in his room! I decided that I would give them until midnight until I intervened, and by then they had quited down. I finally fell asleep. I am not sure if they made it the entire night, but I do know they were still up at 6am.
I am sure some of you are aware that there are some pretty rotten kids out there. Tanner has brought a few home, but they are usually not invited back. Wesley is a great kid. I think he may be a wild one someday, but he is very polite and I like him a lot. I had told Tanner to get with Wesley and decide what they wanted for supper. He told me that Wesley liked chili and that's what they wanted. I told him he better find out if Wes likes green peppers and onions, because my chili is loaded with them. Tanner said that Wes was not picky. That he would eat anything. So at supper, I noticed Wesley did not eat much of his food. I asked him if he liked the veggies, and he said "Not really, but my mom told me I had to like whatever you make!" Too funny. I assume Tanner was wrong. He must be a picky eater if his mom had to tell him that! He did not starve, we had lots of other things to eat. They had a great time!
Al also had his fun this weekend. He took Saturday off so he could go riding on the river with his buddies and about 40 other guys. They got on the river in Dells and rode to Trent. I am sure they had a few drinks at the bar before heading back. He managed to make a whole day of it, even though he had worked the night before and got up around 7:30 to go. The guys tried to get him to go bar hopping when they got back, but he decided he better not. It has been a while since he has been out riding with his friends, so I know he had a great time.
Speaking of riding, I guess I ended up with a new dirt bike. Its a long story that I won't get into. It was meant for Tanner, but he will never ride it. He is not into that, it scares him. Al decided to put smaller tires on it so that Colter could ride it too. I am not sure what he is thinking. Colter will not be able to fit on it for quit a few years, and by then I am sure the tires will be wore out. That's my man, always thinking ahead!
