I like to stay positive on my posts, because I just don't want to be a "Debbie Downer." But today, I am a little bummed. Tanner left for his mom's yesterday. He won't be back until the end of July, beginning of August. Usually, I welcome the break, because it means I can do what ever the heck I want. This year, I feel lonely. There is a big piece of our family missing. Strange. I guess before I was a real mom, I didn't feel quite like a family. I think I kind of felt like the odd man out. Now, I just feel odd with my middle man out. I actually went to Tanner's room a couple of times yesterday, opened the door, looked around, and thought how empty it seemed. I am sure the time will go by fast, but not nearly fast enough.
On a happier note, we had some family visiting from out of state yesterday. There was a small barbecue in their honor and it was great seeing them all again. They also had a little guy last year and we got to meet him for the first time. What a little ham. Of course, I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any pictures. *Note to self--daily planner would help with your CRS. Might want to buy one.* I hope it will not be too long until their next visit. Who knows, if I was convincing enough, may be they will move back this way.
I do not have any huge plans for the weekend. I may have to make some. I hope all of your weekends are great!

:-( I'm sorry you're missing Tanner. But yes, I'm sure before you know it, he'll be back.
It's always fun when family visits. But the visits never seem to be long enough!
Oh Miah, Tanner will be home soon!
Family visits are great! Glad you had the opportunity to visit with them.
Have a great weekend!!
The time Tanner is gone will go super fast...don't worry he'll be home before you know it :)!
Isn't it great when family can visit! It's even more fun to try to convince them to move back this direction (we do that with my parents all the time..he he).
The tractor pull tonight is in Tea. Madison has one in August (last weekend during Prairie Village Days). That's always a good one! I think you and the boys would enjoy it..and if not you can always people watch..there are some VERY interesting people around..LOL!
Have a GREAT weekend Miah!!
Tanner will be home before you know it! Just think he will probably have grown a few more inches!!
Colter will probably really miss him. I be those two have become little buddies!! I know Marissa LOVES Tanner.
I am glad that you got to visit with some of your family!! Always fun to have BBQ's!
Have a great weekend and tell Al Happy Father's Day!! :)
I think it's sweet that you already miss Tanner.
That is a long time to be gone.
I would miss my kids too.
We were just gone for 4 days and missed the kids terribly.
Time does fly quickly though.
I just love BBQ's. Have a great weekend!
I is natural to miss your son. One of my sons and his wife let their two oldest go for a visit with their uncle this past week. It was their first visit away from home with anyone except with me and I only live 30 minutes away. At church yesterday they looked so sad and it brought back memories when I had my first parting with each of my children. So sad but it has to happen sooner or later and it would not be normal for them to stay home for ever. We raise them to let them go and live a full and happy life. So this is just a trial flight. They will lear and grow and so will you. It will in the long run make you appreciate each other more. The time will pass before you know it. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and also your son. connie from Texas
That is sweet that you miss Tanner...I hope the time goes by quickly and you keep busy!!
Have a great week Miah!!
