Hey everyone! I am taking a short break, so I thought I would do a quick post. I took a vacation day last night, so I could get some baking done, do a little cleaning, run all my errands and put a few more boxes away. In preparation for Colter's birthday party. It is so hard to get much accomplished when you work nights.
I was up last night until 12:30 attempting to do some baking. I know I have said before that I am no Betty crocker. My goal was to make Colter his own cake to dig into and make some cookies for the kids that are coming. Things could have went much worse than they did, and all though the finished products are not the most beautiful things, they are very edible and still taste good. Don't worry, I ordered a cake for everyone else to eat. :o)
Are you ready for a good laugh? Miah Crocker baking, at its best.........
Colter's personal cake.........
(Trust me. He will love it, because he doesn't know any better!) In case you are unable to tell, he is having a doggie birthday party theme. I am going to be putting puppy chow & dog bone cookies in a doggie bag for the kiddo's. As long as it has sugar in it, kids will eat anything.........right?!
The last three pictures, I just threw in, so you wouldn't have the awful baked goods images burned into your brain for the rest of the day. These are of the birthday boy on his actual birthday.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

I hope the party is a blast and that the birthday boy has a wonderful time :)! Can't wait to see pictures of the big party :)!
Have a great weekend Miah!!
I agree with Erin, the cake and cookies look...well...good enough to eat! :0)
Adorable pictures. Now why is it that most of the time it's the little boys who get the pretty curly hair? ;0)
Have a great weekend and party.
Looks great to me! When's the party?? ;-)
Have a GREAT time!! Take lots of pictures. They only turn 1 once!!
I think they look great! Such a cute idea of the dog bone cookies too. Tell the people about those chocolate brownies that you made from scratch that time. Was it brownies or cake? I can't remember what it was, only that it was the talk of work for weeks!
They look great!! When will you be over to bring some of them to us?!??! I hope you have a great party!! KEEP ON BAKING!! :)
I think it looks good. My daughter just turned 1 yr old on the 28th of Aug. and I too made her cakes. It took me well over 5 hours to make. But it was worth it. Happy B-day Colter!(His b-day is the same as my brother-in-law).
Everything looks great to me. You did a very good job in my opinion. Hope your son has a wonderful birthday, it seems like yesterday when he was born. The next years will pass just as quickly if not more so. Enjoy every day. connie from Texas
